William worked as a furniture maker, woodturner and designer for twenty five years until a work accident confined him to a wheelchair in 1995. He made bespoke furniture which was sold to many stores, and private homes, including Vogel House and the US Embassy in Wellington. He later specialized in making furniture for leading Auckland architects, including Cook Hitchcock and Sargisson, Architectus and David Mitchell.
He now converts recycled kauri timber into attractive boards, crafted and hand finished, and then oiled. These boards are excellent for both food presentation and preparation.

Pricing: No two boards are the same, but the average wholesale price is $30.00 (No GST). William will discuss the price range and variation: obviously larger boards will be more expensive, but should not reach more than $40.00. Small boards will be $20.00, but these prices are flexible and subject to retailer advice and consumer interest.

Charging: William is happy to leave samples in the shop at no charge to test consumer interest in this new product.

Size: The largest board in the pix is 600 x 250 x 18 mm. Boards are cut to their maximum potential: (at home William has a much loved 800 x 300 x 20 mm kauri presentation board, great for birthday cakes). The average size board, the one with no food, is 350 x 200 x 27mm, some are as thin (or light) as 15mm.

Orders: William can make boards of any size and aims to fulfill orders within 7 days under normal conditions.
Timber may be laminated with 'FDA approved for food use' water-proof PVA glue.
